At Mini Kennels we do our best to ensure that we are producing healthy, hardy, happy family pets. We do this by:
1. Choosing the best of breeders – many of our breeders are raised right here at Mini Kennels so we know their history. When we bring in “new blood”, we are careful to avoid animals with undesireable genetic traits.
2. Using the best of feed, which for us is Royal Canin, a great company to work with. Royal Canin has recently launched a new puppy formula that already is helping considerably with the tiny ones who are prone to hypoglycemia. Each puppy comes with a Royal Canin Puppy Starter Kit.
3. Careful parasite control – the adult dogs are wormed at regular intervals and the puppies receive worming at 6,8 and 12 weeks of age. We also treat for the ever-present Coccidia with a wonderful new product called Baycox that actually kills the nasty little amoeba rather than just controlling it.
4. Vaccinations are given at 8, 12, and 16 weeks of age. We do a 4-way vaccine that covers Canine Distemper-Adenovirus Type 2-Parainfluenza-Parvovirus.
5. Medical Insurance is a win-win for everyone. Each puppy leaves here with a voucher from Trupanion for 30 days of free medical coverage for accident or illness, but you, as the new puppy owner do have to activate it within the first 24 hours after picking up your puppy.
Because we feel we do a good job at what we do in the raising of the puppies, we are happy to send them out with our Mini Kennels Guarantee:
We, at Mini Kennels, guarantee every one of our pups against 1) infectious diseases for 10 days from purchase date, 2) life threatening genetic defects and/or genetic related illness for the first year of the pup’s life.
In the event there is a problem, return your pup with a veterinary statement of the problem, and the Mini Kennels proof of purchase receipt and we will replace your pup with a pup of equal value. This guarantee is limited to the replacement of the pup and does not include vet or other charges that may be incurred. This guarantee is void if the pup’s vaccinations are not kept up to date. Your pup is not fully protected until it has all three vaccines after the age of 16 weeks. For this reason and others, we require you to activate the 30 day free insurance that your puppy comes with and we also highly recommend keeping puppy’s medical insurance active for the remainder of its life.
