The most effective way to get the opportunity to choose a Mini Kennels puppy is to send a non-refundable $200 deposit to be on the contact list for the specific breed of puppy that you wish to adopt. When the next available litter is born, you will then be notified with pictures of the available puppies for your consideration. Choices are made in order of deposits received, so it is important to get your place in line.
If you are not sure you are ready to make that commitment, and don’t want to send a deposit until you know we have some puppies of interest to you, that is perfectly fine as well. You will then need to check in with us every so often to learn what is on the horizon, as you will not be notified unless you are on the contact list.
So, you have found a Mini Kennels puppy that is just the right one for you and you wonder, “What is the next step?”
If the puppy is not yet old enough to leave its mother and go home with you at the time of your choosing it, you will need to give us a $200 deposit (if you haven’t already done so to be on the contact list) to reserve the puppy for you until it is ready to go around 8 weeks of age.
There are several ways that this deposit can be made: Either in person with cash or check, EMT, direct deposit to our RBC account, or if time allows, it may be sent in the mail as a check or money order.
This deposit is non-refundable, but is transferable, up until the pup is 6 weeks of age. For example, if, for some reason, the puppy you have reserved turns out differently than you had hoped, (bigger, smaller, color changes, etc) or another one that is yet available catches your eye as more what you were hoping for, we will be happy to transfer your deposit to your second choice, or to put you on the contact list for the next litter you are likely to want to choose from.
You must pick up the puppy at the agreed upon 8 week date, unless you have made other arrangements. The remainder of the initial price is due to be paid at that time. Failure to pick up the pup or to communicate with us regarding an alternative time for pickup may result in a forfeit of your deposit.
If we are delivering your puppy to you, the payout and the agreed upon delivery fee is due at the time of delivery.
If your puppy is going to fly to his/her destination, the full price of the puppy plus the cost of the shipping must be paid in full prior to the flight date. We do not have many airline options and few destination possibilities available. Recently, some people have chosen to fly into Smithers or Terrace to pick up their puppy. This is a good option that we are happy to work with you on.
We look forward to finding the perfect puppy to fit your heart and home. If you have a question not covered here, please feel free to PM me on Facebook or send an email here.
